Welcome to Gemma B Coaching!! I'm SO excited to have you on board and can't wait to get started with you ๐ฅฐ Here's everything you need to know โ let's get into it!
The app
Everything runs through Trainerize. On here you can find your workouts, group chat and meal plan info, as well as track your water, weight, measurements and add progress pictures!
Your workouts
You'll see your workouts in the app โ each exercise has a video demo so you know exactly what to do. Tap into a workout when you're ready, log your weights and reps as you go, and tick it off when you're done.
I've scheduled the workouts in on certain days but feel free to move them around based on your schedule โ you can do this in your calendar, and as long as you do them, it doesn't matter what days!
You'll have 6 workouts in your workout section โ I've scheduled the gym workouts into your calendar but you don't have to stick to that, it's just a reminder to do them! Head into your workout section and choose whatever suits you that day. As long as you do 3 sessions, it doesn't matter what combination!
The group chat
You'll be added to the group chat with all the other women training under the same programme as you โ it's such a lovely little community! Share wins, ask questions, vent about leg day, all of it!!
I'd love for you to introduce yourself when you join โ I'm in the chat too, so any general Qs you've got, drop them in there!
Meal plans
In the meal plan section of the app there's your discount code to access my recipes & shopping lists at bites.theclubb.co for just ยฃ2/month (normally ยฃ4.97).
The meal plans aren't compulsory but they're honestly game-changing for staying on track โ losing weight does NOT have to be boring!
Calorie calculator
Want to know how much you should be eating to hit your goals? I've linked a calorie calculator for you โ pop in your details and it'll tell you exactly what you should be aiming for each day. I'd just track calories + protein!
Rest & recovery
Don't underestimate the boring stuff!! Sleep, water and rest days are where the magic actually happens โ your body builds muscle and loses weight when it's recovering, not just when you're in the gym.
Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep, plenty of water through the day, and please don't skip your rest days!
If you miss a workout
Life happens! If you miss a session, don't stress โ just pick up where you left off and carry on. There's no need to play catch-up or double up to make up for it.
Consistency over time matters WAY more than any one session, and one missed day won't undo your progress!
New to the gym?
First time in the gym?? You've got this!! It's totally normal to feel a bit intimidated at first โ but I promise everyone there is just focused on their own thing.
Wear what makes you comfortable, take your time, and don't be afraid to ask staff if you can't find a machine. The first few sessions are about getting comfy with the space โ not about being perfect!
Progress tracking
I've scheduled photo prompts in the app to pop up on day 1 and then every Sunday after that. You can change the day if Sunday doesn't suit โ it doesn't matter when, as long as you do it weekly!
Take your starting photos and pop your measurements in too โ you'll honestly be SO glad when you can look back at the progress in a few weeks ๐ฅฐ
Cancelling
You can cancel any time. Just drop me an email at gemma@gemmabcoaching.co.uk and I'll sort the rest (hopefully you won't want to though!! ๐ฅฐ)
